Refund Policy

1. Introduction

This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the conditions under which clients may cancel services or request refunds from Adam Suchodolský – IT & Data Consulting (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). Our business provides professional services including IT consulting, data consulting, analytics, automation, data engineering, and other digital advisory services delivered remotely or online. This policy complies with applicable Slovak legislation, including the Civil Code (Act No. 40/1964 Coll.), the Consumer Protection Act, and relevant EU consumer protection regulations.

2. Right of Withdrawal (Consumers)

If you are a consumer purchasing services online or at a distance, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the contract for services is concluded. To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by sending a clear statement by email.

3. Start of Service During Withdrawal Period

If the customer schedules or requests that the service begins before the expiration of the 14-day withdrawal period, including where the agreed service start date falls within this period, the customer expressly requests the immediate commencement of the service. In such case, the customer acknowledges that the right of withdrawal does not apply to the services already provided.

If the service has already started and the customer withdraws from the contract, the customer is required to pay a proportionate amount for the services already provided up to the moment of withdrawal. If the service has been fully performed, the right of withdrawal no longer applies.

4. Cancellation of Services

Clients may cancel scheduled consulting services before delivery.

Cancellation conditions:

  • More than 24 hours before the scheduled service: full refund may be granted.

  • Less than 24 hours before the scheduled service: cancellation fee or partial charge may apply.

  • After service delivery has started: refunds are not available for services already provided.
     

5. Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be issued in the following situations:

  • withdrawal within the legal 14-day withdrawal period and the service has not yet started

  • the service cannot be delivered due to circumstances on our side

  • duplicate or incorrect payment occurred

  • the contract is cancelled before the service begins

If part of the service has already been delivered, only a proportional refund may be issued.

6. Non-Refundable Services

The following services are generally non-refundable once provided:

  • completed consulting sessions

  • delivered reports, analyses, or data models

  • custom software or data solutions

  • customized consulting prepared specifically for the client

  • completed project work or technical implementation
     

Professional consulting time and expertise already delivered cannot be refunded.

7. Refund Processing

If a refund is approved:

  • refunds will be processed within 14 days

  • refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the original payment, unless otherwise agreed

  • no additional processing fees will be charged
     

8. Complaints

If you believe a service was not delivered according to the agreed terms, you may submit a complaint.

Please include:

  • name and contact details

  • description of the issue

  • order, contract, or invoice reference

Complaints will be reviewed and resolved within 30 days in accordance with Slovak consumer protection regulations.

9. Alternative Dispute Resolution

If a consumer is not satisfied with the resolution of a complaint, they may request alternative dispute resolution (ADR).
